Set drip irrigation back twelve to eighteen inches from the edge to buffer the wet-to-dry swing during drought.
After the piers are in, who patches the cracked drywall and brick?
Pier work stops the movement and can recover lost elevation, but cosmetic repairs to drywall, brick, and trim are a separate scope handled after the foundation is confirmed stable. We fix the structure first; doing the finishes before that just invites them to crack again.
